Having a clear goal with an applicable approach is an important aspect to govern Thailand into the right direction effectively. However, it is challenging to see real issues through the eyes of the people who are not actually facing harsh struggles. With that being said, it is not easy to solve the problems that are not well-defined.
What exactly are the real problems in Thailand? Frankly, they all cannot thoroughly be listed. However, the first and fundamental issue I would like to address is the educational system in Thailand. This is the most basic yet crucial problem that is ruining all the systems in the country. Poor education affects how people think and behave, especially a majority of Thai children do not have a chance to have access to a proper education. As a matter of fact, the educational system is not standardized. Many schools do not have enough educated teachers and other facilities like textbooks, computers, and laboratory equipment. Therefore, we need to give more incentives for teachers in rural areas and try to have a standard for everyone. Moreover, teachers need to motivate children to think critically and get hands-on experiences, and not just tell them what to do but never give them an opportunity to express their thoughts. The students are told to follow directions without any questions; actually, they are even told what jobs are good (of course, the well-paid jobs). Encouraging children to question, letting them try and learn in their own way, and understanding that we are all unique would help them navigate their future as well as prepare them to the real world.
Better educational systems create higher quality humans who contribute good to the society. This would help develop the country in many ways such as the economy, health care, technology. The educational system is a severe problem in Thailand because it is potentially destroying the whole country. We need to realize the problem, accept it, and fix it in the best way that will help the people of Thailand.
